I enjoyed reading "The Secret Art of Self Development" and the 16 "pep talks" were somewhat helpful, but didn't show you how, just what you needed to do for that self development journey we all are seeking. I really appreciated Appendix 3 - Experiences to Open Your Eyes Again with a long list of things to do to get us out of the rut of a routine life. That was quite helpful.

The biggest gripe I have with this book is the huge margins and the double spacing. If you reduced the margins and printed each page like a regular book, took out all numerous pages of quotes from others praising the book and the recap at the end, I would say this book would only be about 20 pages. Enjoyable, but too short on substance.
